Each week Easy101 and Husky Travel Centre are teaming up to recognize someone who has given back to the community. If you know of someone who deserves to be honoured as the ‘Husky Hero of the week’ with a $25 Gift certificate from the Husky Travel Centre, please click here to submit your story.

WEEK 202 HUSKY HERO - Sandi Pake

This week's Husky hero is Sandi Pake of Tillsonburg. Sandi goes above and beyond helping members of her community, neighbors and friends, she helped me out a friend everyday for several months after they were in a serious motorcycle accident. Sandi gives back to the community by volunteering her time at the Tillsonburg Legion, raising money for events and raising money for repairs at the Legion.

For all that you do Sandi, you are the Husky Hero of the week!

WEEK 201 HUSKY HERO - St.Thomas Minor Atom Jr. Stars Hockey Team

This week's Husky Heroes are the St.Thomas Minor Atom Jr. Stars Hockey Team. On Sunday November 26th, this team of nine year old hockey players, along with some siblings spent some time giving back to their community by canvassing some St.Thomas neighbourhoods collecting donations for the St.Thomas Elgin Food Bank.

For all the good things the Jr. Stars are doing on and off the ice, you are the Husky Heroes of the week.

WEEK 200 HUSKY HERO - Scott McGuire

This week's Husky Hero is Scott McGuire. Scott put his time, resources and know-how into helping someone in his community. Recently some students from the University of Western Ontario decided to have an impromptu home coming party. It was during this event that an elderly women's garden was damaged. Scott donated his time, money and resources from his own landscaping company to repair the garden. Scott is also a Victim Services volunteer.

WEEK 199 HUSKY HERO - Bert Brouwer

This week’s Husky Hero is Bert Brouwer. Bert donates his time and equipment by drives his tractor to Lake Erie, an hour away from his farm usually twice a summer to help the residents of Port Bruce clear large drift wood off the Township Beach. Logs too big to be moved by hand are placed parallel with the waters edge making benches for people to sit on to enjoy the beach. This is followed by raking and removing the small debris left on the beach from the winter storms. Then he rakes and levels the sand and gravel for people to sit or lay on, keep the beach safe and looking great for the residents and tourist to the area.

WEEK 198 HUSKY HERO - Bob Fisher

This week's Husky Hero of the week is Bob Fisher of Thamesford. Bob is an active member in the community. He is a service club member, he looks after keeping the parks and roadsides clean, and makes sure the garbage cans in the park are emptied. he is always willing to help.

For all that you do Bob, you are the Husky Hero of the week!
