U-S President Barack Obama and Republican rival Mitt Romney are spending their weekend preparing for their upcoming debates.

The first one is scheduled for Wednesday night and will focus on domestic issues, especially the economy.

Obama will try to convince skeptical Americans that he can restore the economy to full health -- while Romney will try to show he's a credible alternative to Obama.

Two more debates will be held later in October.
