A Brant County farmer's investment in a security system for his tobacco barn just paid dividends.

Thieves had loaded a 15 foot trailer with bales of tobacco, valued at fourteen thosand dollars, when the alarm sounded and scared them off.
Provincial Police responded shortly before four o'clock yesterday (Thurs.) morning to the tobacco farm on the 4th concession where they found the abandoned trailer hooked to a truck, both of which had been stolen.

Police are searching for a black G-M-C Yukon truck which was observed at the scene and may be connected to the suspects. (DKM)
