Hello from the CCMA's!
Its almost 2 o'clock in the morning and the parties and the jamming are still going on in Hamilton following the 2011 edition of the awards.
Did you get to see any of the show? This is how it looked from my seat in the stands. It was a star-studded event filled with great performances, touching moments (did you see when Terri Clark won her award for female artist of the year and said she had to keep from crying because it was the first CCMA award she received where her mother was not sitting in the front seat smiling at her?). There was a lot of love in the room for Johnny Reid and Dean Brody who each took home a few trophies. Our Canadian artists put on a great show, and it was a thrill to see Ronnie Dunn and
Luke Bryan take part as performers and presenters.
Congratulations to all the winners and nominees, and to the people of the city of Hamilton for being such gracious hosts for this special event.
