Icy and slushy roads made the morning commute a challenge in southwestern Ontario.
London police responded to about a dozen crashes including fender benders at Wharncliffe and Riverside roads, Oxford and Second street and Veterans Memorial Parkway and Huron street.
School buses were cancelled in Waterloo-Wellington-Perth and Grey but the London area escaped most of the freezing rain that hit southcentral Ontario.
Tomorrow is shaping up to be another difficult driving day.
A low pressure system over eastern Lake Ontario will bring 2-4 cm of snow in London, Tillsonburg, Simcoe and Brantford-areas but up to 10 cm are forecast in the Grand Bend area, followed by westerly winds up to 70 kilometres per hour.
Whiteouts and blowing snow will be the result.
