Investigators from the Brantford Police Service Street Crimes Unit are seeking the assistance of the public in a recent rash of theft of tires and rims from north-end car dealerships.
Between February 16th and 20th, 2012, on three separate occasions, unknown persons entered onto the Brant County Ford dealership lot and smashed a window of three new pick-up trucks. The suspects removed the jack from the interiors of the trucks and used them to jack the trucks up by the running boards. The thieves then stole the tires and rims off the trucks. Each of the trucks sustained damage as a result of the trucks being improperly jacked or as a result of falling off the jacks.
One other north-end dealership also reported a theft of tires and rims during this time period.
Anyone with information as to the identity of the thieves or the whereabouts of the stolen tires and rims is asked to contact Detective Kyle Barnes of the Brantford Police Service Street Crime Unit at 519-756-0113 ext. 2283.
Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous are asked to contact Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers at 519-750-8477 or 1-800-222-8477. Alternatively, a webtip may be submitted at: https://www.tipsubmit.com/WebTips.aspx?AgencyID=251
