It may not be at the top of everyone’s minds this time of year, but beach volleyball was on the agenda of Zorra Township Council.
They were approached by Thamesford resident Steve Houston wishing to build two outdoor beach volleyball courts in the village.
According to Houston, once the courts are done, they will last a lifetime if they are maintained properly. Total cost for the project if everything had to be purchased would be just under $18,000, but Houston is hoping for donations of materials such as gravel to help offset the cost, since this project would be of benefit to the entire community.Houston says there has been a lot of interest expressed
Houston was told by Council to continue his work, take the concept to the Zorra Recreation Committee and then come back to council.
