A single vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Dorchester man.

Middesex OPP say the 79-year-old man was killed when his car left a road and struck a tree at around 6:30 this (Friday) morning.

The crashed occurred on Trafaglar Street between Crumlin Sideroad and Shaw Sideroad.

No name has been released.

The crash area is closed for an investigation.

A post-mortem is expected in the coming days at London Health Sciences Centre.
