Prime Minister Stephen Harper is moving to prorogue parliament once again -- cancelling the resumption of the House of Commons next month.
Harper says a speech from the throne will likely be delivered in October, kicking off a new parliamentary session.
He made the announcement during his week-long swing through northern Canada.
The move comes after the senate expenses scandal re-ignited last week after Senator Pamela Wallin was ordered to repay 121-thousand dollars in questionable claims -- and auditors called for further review of another 21-thousand dollars. (12)
