Diane Finley, M-P for Haldimand-Norfolk and Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, is inviting organizations to apply for grants of up to $75,000 for projects that will improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
Organizations can submit proposals until September 10, 2010, under the fund’s small projects component. Included are renovation, construction and retrofitting of buildings, modification of vehicles for community use, or enhancements to make information and communication technologies more accessible.
Since the program was launched in 2007, grants have been approved to over 300 organizations.
