Early Thursday, police executed 16 search warrants in Brantford, Vanessa, Waterloo, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, and Mississauga, as part of an ongoing investigation into auto related crimes in the Golden Horseshoe area.
Officers seized 24 whole or partially disassembled vehicles and more are expected to be recovered.
A 26 year old man from Oshweken is charged with one count each of theft and possession of stolen property; while a 27 year old Hamilton male is facing 30 similar counts.
The current investigation began six months ago, and will continue to focus on identifying individuals responsible for thefts of vehicles and the re-sale of stolen auto parts.
Further arrests are anticipated.
