The Elgin - St. Thomas Public Health Board has
announced a boil water advisory for some residents of St. Thomas.
It's the second advisory for the area in the past two weeks.
A water sample taken on Thursday showed the presence of e-coli above the maximum acceptable concentration.
It's not a city wide advisory.
The area affected is from sunset terrace..down the hill to sunset drive. From sunset drive between the first bridge north of bush line..to bush line. From there.. past the pollution plant and transfer station and the three houses at the top of the hill at the end of bush line.
Residents of the affected area are advised to boil their water for at least a minute... or to use bottled water during the period that the advisory remains in effect.
