If all of it is not broke, then Bayham Council thinks it only makes sense to replace what needs fixing. Council heard that the motor on their 1986 grader has reached the end of its life span.  They were also told that the hydraulics and other parts of the grader are still operational, so staff looked at the cost of just replacing the engine.  Two quotes came back and Council has awarded a contract, including an extended warranty that will cost Bayham almost $16,000 to get the 40 year old piece of equipment back on the road. A new grader is worth more than a quarter million dollars.  (Brian Donlevy)
