Waterloo Regional Police are reminding citizens to walk in well lit areas and inform others of where they are going. This warning comes after police have seen an increase in person on person robberies in the University of Waterloo area during the past few months.

The most recent incident occurred on July 9th in the area of Albert Street and Young Street where a three males approached another male, held out a knife and demanded his wallet and watch. The suspects then fled the scene.

Another similar robbery occurred in the same area the night before.

The public is reminded to be aware of their surroundings, tell people where you are going and keep valuables hidden.
