A standing committee of the provincial legislature will be in the area the beginning of the week to look at Bill 148, the proposed law that would implement the $15 an hour minimum wage. The Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs will be in London today and in Kitchener tomorrow. The Ontario Chamber of Commerce have come out opposed to the increase saying it will hurt small business. The bill would also require employers to pay for an extra three hours if they re-schedule an employees shift with 48 hours of when it was to start.
