Tresspasser Falls into Elora Gorge

In a case of adding insult to injury... An 18-year-old Grand Valley man fell into the Grand River from the Elora Gorge, early Sunday evening.
About 6 pm, Wellington County OPP, fire rescue and paramedics were all called to an injured person occurrence on Middlebrook Road, in Elora, after the fall.

Investigation revealed that the injured man and two other men were all trespassing in the Elora Gorge Conservation Area. The 18-year-old lost his grip while hanging from a truss bridge and fell about 40' to the ice shelf below, narrowly avoiding the rushing water. The rescue service got him out and into the care of paramedics. He was then air-lifted to a trauma centre with non-life threatening injuries.
The added insult? All thee men received trespass tickets.
