Brantford police have confirmed the body found in the rubble of an exploded house was that of 46 year old Nancy Ann Grasso, wife of the couple who resided at that ruffian road location. She had been missing since last Thursdays explosion and fire.
The Ontario Fire Marshall's Office has determined there was an explosion of natural gas from within the residence, but the source of the gas and what ignited it remains unknown.
A joint investigation is continuing by Brantford police, the Coroner's Office, and the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office.
