The hiring climate for this year's third quarter is expected to be relatively positive, though subdued.
A Manpower Employment Outlook survey of 19-hundred Canadian employers suggests businesses expect to do some hiring between July and September -- though not as much as they did in the same quarter of last year.
Twenty-three per cent of employers plan to boost their payrolls, while five per cent anticipate cutbacks.
Seventy per cent expect to maintain their current staffing levels.
