Officials are digging into the backgrounds of the two pilots of the Malaysian Airline jetliner that's been missing for eight days.
Investigators are examining an elaborate flight simulator that was set up in the Kuala Lumpur home of the captain -- 53-year-old Zaharie Ahmad Shah.
He'd been with the airline for 33 years, and had 18-thousand hours of flying experience.
The first officer, 27-year-old Fariq Abdul Hamid, had just qualified to fly the Boeing Triple-7.
It is now believed someone on the plane deliberately flew it far from it's original flightpath after communications were intentionally shut off.
