Little-to-no rain is expected in wildfire ravaged areas of B-C in the coming days while Environment Canada's air quality advisory remains in place as smoke lingers in the south and central interior.

More than 729-thousand hectares of land have been scorched since fire season began in B-C, and with 162 fires still burning in the province, that number is expected to rise.

The fires are taking a toll on businesses in the Interior, prompting the province to launch a small business grant program yesterday.
