Sunday we were over at my in-laws and just around the block from their place we saw a table and chairs on a front lawn right by the road. The universal sign that this stuff is being given away right? Well just to be sure i rang the bell and indeed it was free for the taking so i loaded into the van. Ever since i had done some work putting gravel in the back yard we've been looking for a little bistro style set to put in one spot. It's not exactly a bistro but it was free. To make it fit in i'm going to sand it and paint it to match the shed, garage and back of house using some leftover paint. I'll have to take some before shots and pictures of the after when i get it done. It's a really nice set, not perfect since i have to add seats but it was free, and you can't beat that!

The vacation week has come to an end. I'm sorry to see it gone but glad to be back. It was a jam packed week that consisted of Canada Day pancakes, bbq's, camping and lots more. It sure was a hot week to be off. Thank goodness we stayed in an air conditioned cabin. Really roughing it i know eh! We camped over in Port Huron and had lots of fun. There was a train that you could ride around the camp on. We had fun in the pool and had some great campfires. Lots of fireworks last week too. It went by really fast! We left Sunday and went to Mt. Brydges, Chatham and Windsor that day. Then from Windsor to Port Huron on Monday staying there until coming back Thursday. We did go shopping in Auburn Hills on the day it rained, couldn't have picked a better day to rain since we had indoor activities planned. It was nice getting back a little early. We could unpack and unwind before getting back into our normal routine. We're looking forward to doing it again!

I live on a nice quiet little street. On this quiet little street are some really good people. We've had street wide yard sales, and last year had a big bbq that everyone on the street was invited to. We've started having a games night that moves from house to house over the last 6 months. I've helped and got help from neighbours too. Last night i got help i wasn't even expecting. One of my neighbours shows up while i was out shovelling gravel. Yeah i still had some from last month. You know how it is, projects to do but not enough time to get them all done. Anyway he says he was grabbing his shovel and helping me out. Darn nice of him! With his help i was able to get my work done and now my driveway is clean. His kids came over and played with our little guy. Well one did, their youngest was fast asleep. But it was a nice way to finish off the weekend. Now I may not live in a big fancy house but this is one great little street that i don't plan on moving away from!

I hope all you dads had a nice Father's Day over the weekend. I was a bit under the weather on Sunday but this card brightened the day. Felix made it at daycare last week. It Rocked!
